CCSC turns 60

This coming season marks 60 years since the Cairn Curran Sailing Club was founded. Given the extent of the millennial drought and it’s affect on the water levels of the Cairn Curran Reservoir at the time this is quite an achievement, and one the club is justifiably proud of.

The club will be kicking off the season with their Opening Day on Saturday October 5th so if you can make it for the day it would be great to see you there. Back in the day the club was a powerhouse of the Australian Sailfish in Victoria, home to our very first National Champion, Leigh Marriott and of course, the Champion brothers, Robert and James.

You can find more information at:    Cairn Curran Sailing Club

And if you can’t make it on October 5th there is the traditional Cairn Curran Regatta on 23 & 24 November and then there is the Classic Dinghy Classes Invitation Weekend on 7 & 8 December.

Hope to see you at Cairn Curran over the next few months.
